BAD NEWS!!!

Well some may now already, but for those who don't here the story.

Friday i went to Belgium to have a photo shoot for a magazine. But once i arrived in Belgium i heard a weird noise coming from the engine bay. Took a quick look, and thought it was the supercharger again. Since it was late, decided to go to sleep and look in the morning.

Next morning i took the belt of and found that the rattle noise was still there. I decided to stop and go to the local Mazda garage.
Once arrived there, the mechanic directly recognized the noise and told me most likely it is a broken rod.And wurst case the crankshaft is damaged. But he could not tell me 100% for sure, since he had not seen the internals yet. At that point i called ANWB (same as AAA), to make an appointment to have the car shipped back home.

Today i got a call everything is arranged, and it could take up to 10 days before the car is back at my home! Oh well it is for free, so i am fine with that.

In the mean while i am thinking what to do next. Since the BP-Z3 VVT engine is a high compression engine, i looked into my options for the BP-4W engine, since it is a low compression engine, and the same as the MSM engine.
But when using a full BP-4W engine, i would also have to change my exhaust system. and would lose the VVT.

To solve this, i am most likely putting my VVT head on the BP-4W engine. As for as i found out, i only need to do a coolant reroute and use the BP-4W head gasket. If this works out, i will have a low compression engine with VVT! sounds good.

Any help or info on this is appreciated!

That is it for now, will keep you guys posted.
